The Technical Stuff.............................

Acceptable Formats:Microsoft Word documents sent attached to an email are ideal. But not Publisher or PowerPoint or Excel.

If you do not have Word, just type an email and send that. Please don't send hand-written articles or pages of typed copy.

If you haven't got a computer ask someone in your club to send it in for you.

Text documents can be attached to an email or posted on CD or floppy disk to Chris Porteous (details available in the Members Section)

How to estimate the length of your article when published:This is easy if you're using Microsoft Word. It doesn't matter what font type or size you are using. Click on TOOLS > WORD COUNT and see how many CHARACTERS WITH SPACES you have used. One full column in this magazine equals 1,500 characters with spaces. One full page equals 4,500. (Excluding any photographs you submit).

Photographs:JPEG images - send full size - I'll reduce to fit if neccessary. Original photo's also acceptable (include S.A.E. for return) but not inkjet prints (better to email the original file). Cover Photo's need to be sharp, at least 6"x4" if to be scanned, or a full-size digital image that can be enlarged to A4 @ 300dpi.
