February is World Understanding Month. Dates for your Diary:

31st January     - Last date to return Form 6 to RIBI.

18th February  - DOTS – Venue to be advised.

26th February  - Monday -  District Youth Speaks Final - Royal Ivy Bush Hotel, Carmarthen.

2nd/4th  March    - RIBI Assembly – Brighton.

7th March – District Council Meeting – Old Town Hall, Neath at 7.00pm.

If Form 6 was submitted in time, a proof of the District entry will be received by mail or e-mail. No action within 7 days assumes that your Club's entry is correct.

Consider nominations for District Governor 2009/2010. Proposal forms will be sent to all Clubs no later that 1st March, completed Proposal Forms to be returned to the District Secretary no later than the 1st April 2007. 
 

VALEDICTIONS: We are very sorry to report the loss of PP Maldwyn Rees JP of the Rotary Club of Rhondda

And Glyn Jones of the Rotary Club of Haverfordwest. We extend our deepest sympathy to Maldwyn's and Glyn's family and friends.

District Directory 2007/2008: Arrangements are now being made to prepare the District Directory for 2007-2008 and it is anticipated, with your assistance, to use the e-mail system, to obtain the details required.

The following procedure will be used:

(i)You will receive an e-mail from doncarsley@barryadvertiser.co.uk (Don Carsley being PDG Don Carsley). Attached to the e-mail will be your page from the 2006-2007 Directory. Please would you make the appropriate amendments to show the details for the 2007-2008 Directory and return same.

It would be appreciated if you could return by no later than the 28th March 2007, but amendments will be accepted up until the 14th May 2007.

(ii) The e-mails making the request for the new details will be forwarded to Club Secretaries, and in order to expedite matters, it would be appreciated that if the address in the 2006-2007 is NOT correct, please would you forward your new e-mail address to the e-mail address quoted above.

(iii) Should the Club Secretary not have an e-mail address please could you provide an e-mail address which could be used for this purpose.

RYLA  - Four Courses will start on Sunday afternoons the 22nd  and 29th July, 5th  and 12th  August and end on the following Friday after the BBQ at around 8pm. All routine correspondence will be via e-mail so that all administration costs are kept to the absolute minimum. Some Clubs are complaining that they have not been told that the "lists" are open.
