Swimathon lights up Inner Flame

The Swindon based charity Inner Flame receives the £3130 raised for it by our Charity Swimathon 2018

The Swindon based charity, Inner Flame, has received the £3130 raised for it by our Rotary Charity Swimathon held at The Link Centre in West Swindon last April.

Almost 60 swimmers took part in the Swimathon 2018 and as well as Inner Flame five other organisations, chosen by the swimmers themselves, also benefited.  Helen Douglas House, Swindon Dolphins, Highworth Swimming Club, Phoenix Diving Club and Freshbrook 2nd Brownies shared £1415.  In all £4546 was raised by the Charity Swimathon and its associated Grand Draw.

The cheque was handed over by the Rotary Club's President Mike Helyer to David Wreathall of Inner Flame at a presentation ceremony held at The Link Centre on Tuesday 10 July.  Also Certificates of Appreciation were given to The Link Centre and Swindon Link Magazine to thank them for the financial support they gave towards the event.
