John Neave's speaker today is Julie Leoni multi-talented write, listener and teacher- MEETING IN THE RESTAURANT TODAY.

Julie is a multi-talented write, listener and teacher currently working at Ellesmere College, Chester University, The Open University and The Marches Academy from where she will rush over in her lunch hour to join us today.

Her current focus is Domestic Violence which is where the link with our Club member Jayne Middleton and Julie's invitation to join us today derives.

During her time as The Mayor of Oswestry, Jayne made Domestic Violence charities her cause, seeking to promote a safe haven for women and men in this town.  Julie wants to help women reclaim their power and potential and has written "Into The Woods", a collection of short stories, to tell true stories of modern day abuse and raise runds for The Montgomery Family Crisis Centre.

Julie will have launched her book on Sunday 25th November at Booka and will also be talking to us about the book.  Copies will be available on the day.  It may make a Christmas present for someone you know who wants to think about this issue more deeply - with a unique slant..
