RC of Ilkley

Rotarians the world over have accepted the challenge to match the generous donation of $100 million dollars by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to help in Rotary's polio eradication effort. This has to be raised during the next three years, a daunting task but one we will rise to. It's been done before, and will be done again.

This year our Rotary Club are setting up a Sponsored Bus Pass Challenge, one of our members Bob Auty has agreed to visit over seventy destinations in the North of England, between October and the end of the year using his Bus Pass to do so. He is well-known in District 1040, and keen on visiting other clubs, so he intends to incorporate a club visit wherever possible. All club members are sponsoring him, the proceeds going to Rotary Foundation This can only be done once, so we are seeking support elsewhere, if you feel you can help, please contact either myself or any member of the Rotary Club of Ilkley. Promotional material and sponsorship forms are available from the Ilkley Club. Bob's progress has been reported upon by Radio Leeds.  "Look North" and Leeds Metro Travel have been asked to take part in supporting his effort.
