Rotary Youth Development Under Sail
in partnership with Ocean Youth Trust North
2013 SAILING SEASON
Once again two weeks on board James Cook have been designed specifically for Rotary-sponsored young people.
Each week a group of up to 12 will be supported by an on-board mentor. Included in the cost, each candidate will receive a unique voyage log book and diary, guidance in presentation skills and a Rotary Certificate of Achievement following their presentation to the sponsoring club.
Dates Monday, 5th August – Saturday 10th August
Sunday 11th August – Friday 16th August
Price The cost per place for each six day voyage is £530.
Payment to be made by 31st January 2013: make cheques payable to Ocean Youth Trust North.
Bookings made after 31st January will cost £570 per place, subject to availability.

Royal Yachting Association Sail Cruising and Yachtmaster Scheme
Crew members will be eligible to receive the RYA Start Yachting Certificate and will also have the chance to complete their RYA Competent Crew Award.
RYA Scheme handbooks are available if required at the cost price of £12.00
Age range
Young people sailing on the Youth Weeks should be aged between 14 – 17 years (see alternative voyages below)
Alternative voyages
If a club would like to sponsor someone outside of the stipulated youth age range or if the nominated candidate is unable to sail on the reserved weeks, there are places available on standard (non Rotary) sailing weeks between 1 April and 31 October with the same payment arrangements as for the Rotary weeks. Please note that on-board mentors may not be available on these voyages. To make these bookings please contact the Ocean Youth Trust to find suitable dates.
Branded Clothing
OYT North sell polo shirts branded with the ‘OYT North James Cook’ logo on the breast and ‘Sponsored by Rotary’ logo on sleeve.
Cost is £17.00 per item incl. p&p. Sizes are: X5-34”, 5-36”, M-38/40”, L-42”, XL-44/46”, 2L-48”, 3XL-50/52”
The shirts will be distributed on the chosen voyage.
