YOUNGSTERS ENTERTAINING ADULTS
The final official public function of the 2018/2019 Rotary year for Narberth & Whitland Rotary Club took place in North Pembrokeshire last Sunday afternoon.
Found on the road to Cilgerran, the venue known as Rhos y Gilwen was alive with the Sound of Fantastic Music when ten talented and enthusiastic Young Musicians from South West Wales performed for a delighted audience.
The event was organised by the Rotary Club of Narberth and Whitland and is now established as an annual event in the Rhos y Gilwen calendar.
Organiser Rotarian John Sleigh thanked the performers, their parents, teachers and accompanists for an excellent performance during the sunny afternoon when many others would have been heading for the beaches.
It was a pleasure for President Tony Ensom to present each of the youngsters with their certificate commemorating their performance. Speaking after the event Narberth resident and Octogenarian Mr Arthur Bates rang one of the club officers to say how very much he had enjoyed the entertainment which was of an excellent standard.
On the 1st July a new Rotary year started which will end on the 30th June 2020. Rotarian Elaine Bradbury will be formally taking over at a dinner at the Plas Hyfryd Hotel, Narberth on Wednesday 3rd July
Huge thanks to Mr Gary Rees for taking the excellent photos.
