£1 513.85 raised for Children in Need

The community opens its heart to Pudsey Bear and the Children and Need collection

The community opened its heart to the annual Children in Need collection in 16 Nov, with
£1 513.85 being raised by the residents of Crowthorne & Sandhurst.

The collection, facilitated by the Rotary Club of Crowthorne & Sandhurst, began at Crowthorne station early in the morning after which it moved to the village’s High Street. In the evening, the collectors and Pudsey Bear visited pubs and restaurants in the villages.

“In the end £1 513.85 was raised, and it was a privilege for the Club to facilitate the collection,” said President of the Rotary Club of Crowthorne & Sandhurst, Richard Lindo.

“Pudsey Bear was quite a celebrity on the day and many people took selfies with him. We’d ask anyone who took photos with Pudsey to post them on the Club’s FaceBook page so we can create a picture story of the energy and excitement of the day,” said Richard.
