Charter Celebrations at Pontyprydd Museum David Williams
Secretary
RC Pontypridd.
16 September, 2006
Rotary Club of Pontypridd Sixtieth Anniversary.
The Rotary Club of Pontypridd was chartered in 1946 and is marking its sixtieth
anniversary with an evening at the Pontypridd Museum on Thursday, 9th November,
2006. As you probably know, our membership is small at the moment, and
we feel we cannot stage a grand black tie dinner.
We have therefore decided to organise a reception, with music and film recalling
life in Pontypridd and the valleys in the ?forties?. This will give us
an opportunity for a chat over a drink and refreshments prepared by the Inner
Wheel Club of Pontypridd (in their incomparable style). You?ll appreciate
that the Museum can?t handle large numbers, but we will try to squeeze in
as many of our old friends as we can.
The evening will start at 7.30 p.m. and the cost of tickets will be ?7.50
each. Dress will be lounge suits with Rotary and Inner Wheel regalia.
Can I ask you please to help us by completing the attached acceptance as
soon as possible, so that we can decide if we can cast our net wider than
our present invitation list.
President Howard and the members of the Rotary Club of Pontypridd look forward
very much to having your company on the evening.
Yours sincerely
David Williams
Secretary, Rotary Club of Pontypridd
