Note: Applications will only be accepted from clubs, which have at least 10 goals shown in Rotary Club Central. This is in line with the rules governing the Presidential Citation and has been agreed by the District Support Team.

Awarded to the club which supports and provides hope and inspiration to young persons within the community and internationally.

OR

Awarded to a joint initiative carried out by two or more clubs which provides hope and inspiration to young persons within the community and internationally.

RotaKids / Interact / Rotaract Shields

Best Project Award

Clubs are asked to identify one project they wish to highlight and submit an entry for the award in one of the following ways.

 

·         A report

·         A PowerPoint with notes

·         A poster with a mind map

·         A Timeline

·         A short film - maximum 15 minutes

 

The presentation should contain the following: -

 

·         A project heading

·         Pictures / photos

·         Details of what was done

·         Who was involved e.g. school, Rotary club, community, charity (local or global)

·         The impact / the difference the project made, including what skills have been learnt

Sample projects

·         Raising awareness of the End Polio campaign

·         Helping people in the community e.g. elderly, learning First Aid

·         Helping people internationally e.g Shoeboxes, recycling spectacles, stamps

·         Environmental projects e.g. getting plastic straws removed from local cafes / regular litter picking / gardening at care home / tree planting / protecting the environment for seabirds

·         Health campaign e.g. obesity / exercise campaign

·         Raising awareness of the RotaKids/Interact/Rotaract/Rotary (The family of Rotary)

This will allow for the creativity and imagination of our young people to be highlighted. 

If a fundraising project an explanation on what was done with the money should be included.

 If your club has the Award from last year, listed below, please return it to your AG before 26th August 2019.  Please have the trophy engraved before returning it.
