Speaker Meeting PDG Milton Frary

The Wheelchair Foundation is a charity run by Rotarians for Rotarians. 

Milton spoke about The Rotary Wheelchair Foundation and showed us examples of the difference the donations have made in  developing countries. 35,147 new wheelchairs have been delivered and the foundation also arranges deliveries of used equipment from the NHS. It is thought that each wheelchair improves the life of 11 people.

Najib reminded us that we had made a donation to them a few years ago.

Members can buy The Little Red Wheelchair, a children’s book written by one of their ambassadors for a donation of £5. More information is on their website http://www.wheelchairfoundationuk.org/

The website also has a second video and that includes Milton talking to GMTV in Tanzania about the contribution that Rotary has made to these people’s lives.
