It is a pleasure to introduce you to our Club.
Founded in 1922, the Rotary Club of Taunton has a long and proud history of service in Taunton and beyond. We continue to build on this rich 102-year legacy today.
We are a group of around 35 dedicated members who meet regularly and strive to be part of a successful and impactful club. As part of the wider Rotary family, we benefit from the fellowship, support and resources of District 1200 and Rotary International
“Service above Self” remains at the heart of Rotary. Our club actively participates in and contributes to significant local events. Strengthening our links with other voluntary and service organisations ensures that we remain relevant, engaged, and vibrant, demonstrating our commitment to the community.
This year, the Musgrove Park Hospital League of Friends features as our main local charity. Founded by our Club in 1959, the MPH LoF holds a special place for our members. “School in a Bag”, based in Yeovil and distributing school resources for children in need around the world will also feature in our programme.
Our engagement with Rotary youth programs such as Youth Speaks and the Rotary Young Leaders Award remains strong, thanks to the dedication of our members.
Our regular speaker program is excellent, covering a wide range of interesting and informative topics, often over a meal. Occasional external visits and trips add to the sense of fellowship.
We are a friendly club and we welcome new members. We invite you to contact us through our website to attend one of our meetings and find out more about becoming a Rotarian. We would love you to join us in our aim to make a positive impact in Taunton and beyond.
