Successful Car Boot Sale


The Club held their annual car boot sale on 2nd September 2018 on the Rothesay Promenade. The weather was kind and the event well supported by both stall holders and purchasers.

Murder at the Manor 9th June 2018


Club Members and friends held a very enjoyable murder/mystery evening. Much effort had been put into the costumes and there was a lot of laughter as the plot unfolded to identify the maid as the guilty party.

District Governor's Visit on 5th July 2018


The Club were pleased to welcome District Governor Jim Ross making his "formal" visit. Jim, a member of the Dunoon Club, is well known in Rothesay and members and guests enjoyed hearing about his aspirations for his year in office.

Club Birthday on 6th September 2018


Members celebrated the Club's 68th Birthday at Kingarth in the company of George MacDonald who provided excellent musical entertainment.

Ronnie Falconer visits the Rotary Club of Byron Bay


On 7th August 2018 Ronnie visited the Byron Bay Club while on holiday in Australia and was presented with one of their Pennants. Rothesay President Jim Findlay asked Ronnie to forward a Rothesay Pennant to Byron Bay President Colin Mc Jannett.

Bute Agricultural Society Annual Show


Anne McLaughlin, Treasurer of BAS, presenting a cheque for £349.00 to President Jim Findlay in recognition of assistance provided by the Club at the Show. The money, which was gratefully received, will go into the Clubs Charity Fund.

Welcome to the Rotary Club of Rothesay on the Isle of Bute
