Programme club_programme.pdf   Darts schedule cancelled

Due to Coronavirus precautions, starting on Tuesday 17th March 2020, we have decided to cancel our weekly Rotary meetings at the Bent Arms for a period of 2 months

regretfully, the Lindfield Food Festival that was due to be held on Sunday 10th May 2020 has been postponed to a later date.

There is a link below to our latest Rotary Gazette that includes an interesting article by our President's husband, Professor Mike Turner, about Covid-19. Keep safe!

Club History online!

On Tuesday 31st March 2020, 30 Rotarians took part in a Club Meeting via Zoom Video Communications.

It was our first "online" meeting with much participation and camaraderie under the control of President Judith Pratt but without her noisy gavel!

Another first was the induction of Rotarian John Bowman online!

John, welcome to Cuckfield and Lindfield Rotary Club.

Our President

Meet the President 2019/20

Judith Pratt

"I moved to Lindfield 5 years ago with my husband Mike Turner having lived and worked in Glasgow for 30 years. We are both University Professors and moved to Sussex for work and to be closer to our 2 daughters. I joined Rotary in 2015 and have chaired the Community and Vocational committee for the past 3 years. I am delighted to be elected to take on the Presidency this year.

We are a strong Club and currently have 43 members. The 2020 Rotary theme "Rotary Connects the World" aligns well with our Club. We connect at local, national and international levels through i) supporting a range of community activities including running events at Village Days ii) delivering projects such as renovating gardens at Langley Green mental health hospital iii) working with local schools in national competitions and iv) carrying out international projects such as supporting a teacher in Haiti.

The atmosphere at our meetings is welcoming and friendly. We are from a range of professional backgrounds and we enjoy lively discussions cemented by a desire to support and serve our communities.

We meet weekly and are always looking for new members. If you wish to put something back into the community, we can offer you an enjoyable and stimulating way of doing so. You will be made very welcome if you wish to attend one of our meetings."
