Morriston Rotary is situated in the suburbs and is one of several in and around the City of Swansea. It was chartered on the 22nd June 1984, is the 62nd in District 1150 and its parent club is Swansea.
Due to the current pandemic of Coronavirus, the Club will NOT meet for the forseeable future. It would be irresponsible to put the health of the public and members at risk during the present crisis. As soon as the situation changes the following paragraphs will once again apply but for now there will be NO meetings.
The membership, which currently stands at 23, is roughly divided equally into retired and working persons (that does not mean the retired are inactive!) which is a useful mix for committee work and social functions.
The Club meetings are normally held at The Welcome Inn, Llangyfelach Road, Tirdeunaw, Swansea, SA5 7HT. Telephone 01792 793548. Each meeting has a set format and in rotation, deal with issues concerning Committees, Fellowship, Business and Fund-raising and there is also a meeting reserved for guest speakers. Common to these meeting is an evening meal and of course, no meeting would be the same without the Club Sergeant at Arms, there to administer a small fine to the attending Club members for their transgressions or misdemeanours - large and small!! All of it goes to a worthy cause!
