About us

Club No. 22061

CHARTERED ON 17 SEPTEMBER 1984, OUR CLUB HAS ENTERED ITS 37th YEAR OF SERVICE

            Tom Hunt  President 2020-2021

WELCOME TO THE ROTARY CLUB OF BRETBY

I am pleased to welcome you to the website of the Rotary Club of Bretby. We are the evening Club for Burton upon Trent and the surrounding area and we meet every Monday at 6.45pm for 7.15pm (apart from Bank Holidays).

I have the honour to be the President of the Club for the Rotary year 2020-2021 and I invite you to browse the newly updated website, to gain information about our Club, how the Club works, what projects we support and how we enjoy ourselves.

If you are not a Rotarian then please look at either the top left ‘MENU’ which will take you to the 'NEW MEMBERS' section or the 'WHAT WE DO' button at the top right of this page – the drop-down Menu will also take you to New Members page. If you would like to talk to someone about joining us then please click the CONTACT “envelope” at the top of the page.

The program for this year combines the 3 ‘F’s – Fun – Fellowship & Fundraising.    Everything thing we do whether it is a service project, fundraising or social event, the emphasis is on the word ‘FUN’.

Rotary is primarily a Service Organisation and we support many local charities and organisations.  The big push at the moment is supporting the Burton YMCA Foodbank due to the problems caused by 'Covid 19'.

At national level we support Kids Out, a day out for disadvantaged or children with learning difficulties and the annual Stroke Awareness Day, where we take the blood pressures of members of the public and qualified medical staff advise on the results.  Internationally we will be supporting Rotary’s own charity – The Rotary Foundation.

Rotarians are MAD – in that they MAKE A DIFFERENCE, locally, nationally and internationally

Why not come and visit us and judge for yourself?

Yours in Rotary

Tom Hunt
