History of The Rotary Club of Blaby Meridian

The club was Inaugurated June 1992 and Chartered 6th October 1992.


COSBY Community Library Project

After it was announced that Blaby District Council would be withdrawing their support for the local library in Cosby, various members of the village took up the option of converting the facility into a Community Library – a centre for community activities


End Polio Now

Since making the pledge in 1985 to eradicate polio - its most ambitious programme to date - Rotary International in partnership with health agencies has brought the number of cases of polio down by 99 percent.

Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland (RIBI), is the association of Rotary clubs within England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland, comprising 54,000 members - men and women of all ages and backgrounds - in 1,850 clubs.


Charities/Good Causes Supported

The members of the Rotary Club of Blaby Meridian undertake a number of fund raising and social activities within the Blaby District, so as to provide donations and hands on support, for both Local and International deserving causes.

We are an active and friendly Rotary Club which welcomes visitors and potential members at our club meetings and social events.

The members are proud of the contributions made to needy communities both locally and abroad by living up to ROTARY'S  motto....
