About us

Salford with Swinton have been serving the local community for over 85 years, during that time the city has changed beyond all recognition. The Salford Quays is now a major tourist destination and of course is home to the BBC.

Our Response to Covid 19

Along with a number of clubs in the area we funded and distributed vital PPE to care homes and hospices aroiund the Salford and Manchester Area. Our member and Chair Elect of Rotary in Great Britain & Ireland, David Ellis delivered to 7 grateful recipients.

Delivering to Francis House Childdren's Hospice, here with the CEO David Ireland

Another delivery to Beechfield Lodge Care Home.

Supporting our regular Charity

We also made a donation to one of our regular charities, Loaves & Fishes who usually provide a hot meal for the homeless in Salford, however during the lockdown they cannot allow clients onto the premises. They now put food parcels together and the clients queue but keep their distance and receive a food parcel.

Urban Kids Go Outdoors

The club was delighted to fund another School this year,  two groups from Larkhill Primary attended a day full of outdoor activities, Climbing Wall, Milk Crate Stacking, Orienteering and team building. The day was run by the talented staff at Petty Pool Outdoor Activity Centre in Sandbach, The kids really enjoyed pushing themselves to the limit. It was a cold day but they never complained.
