About us

Salford with Swinton have been serving the local community for over 85 years, during that time the city has changed beyond all recognition. The Salford Quays is now a major tourist destination and of course is home to the BBC.

Collecting Coats

The club joined with two other Rotary clubs in the city as part of the Wrap Up Greater Manchester initiative, this was the first time we had run this event and we collected a sensational 2600 coats. The coats were distributed through a number of charities for the homless and vunerable.

Here are a few images from the event.

Urban Kids Go Outdoors

The club was delighted to fund another School this year,  two groups from Larkhill Primary attended a day full of outdoor activities, Climbing Wall, Milk Crate Stacking, Orienteering and team building. The day was run by the talented staff at Petty Pool Outdoor Activity Centre in Sandbach, The kids really enjoyed pushing themselves to the limit. It was a cold day but they never complained.
