The Rotary Club of Elland is a mixed group of local ordinary men and women of all ages just like you who want to make a difference locally, nationally and internationally.
They are all prepared to give some of their time, energy and expertise to help raise funds for local groups in the town of Elland and surrounding villages of Greetland, Barkisland, Stainland & Hollywell Green to make the community a better place to live.
Rotary is changing and the Rotary Club of Elland is in the forefront of that change.
The initiative and the energy that make our club and its fund raising events so successful and a lot of fun reveal what a modern day Rotary Club is all about.
It also shows what Rotary really means to both its charitable projects and its members.
We no longer have attendance rules meaning that you can give as much or as little time as you can however as with anything the more you put in the more you get out. There isn't a formal dress code either.
At Elland we are probably the best value club to join in Yorkshire as we have changed the way we meet and no longer have a meal at our meeting every week.Instead we have gone for a format of one meal a month with a quality speaker. Monthly we also have a vocational meeting and two business meetings to plan and discuss the progress of our organised events.
As a member of the Rotary Club of Elland you can visit any other Rotary Club in the world where you can be sure of the same friendly welcome and hospitality wherever you go.
Have a look around our site and if you want to come along to an event or meeting to see what Elland Rotary is about for yourself give us a call, you will be made most welcome.
