About us

Making a difference ... it's at the heart of what we do

Harrogate Brigantes are a group of good friends working together to make a difference in our local and international communities.

  • We raised over £20,000 during Covid to support local charities and services
  • We raised over £5,000 in June 2022 to support Ukrainian refugees in our local community
  • We installed IT suites in schools and launched a microloan scheme in the remote Panchamul Valley in Nepal, giving opportunities to local people and enabling them to help themselves
  • We support local organisations such as Carers' Resource, Supporting Older People and Dementia Forward
  • We raise funds to buy Shelter Boxes to provide emergency shelter for disaster victims
  • We work with local schools to provide Technology Tournaments, leadership courses and environmental projects
  • Every two years we work with a composer and children from 14 local primary schools to put on a newly written Kids Aloud musical at Harrogate's Royal Hall
  • We organise and fund an Annual Remembrance Service at the local War Graves cemetery

And there is lots more ... like our regular meetings at Harrogate's Crown Hotel, our outings and visits, our walking, Book Club and golf groups.

If you would like to help us make a difference in our local and international communities, you can use the donation link below. Ignore the suggested donation and just give whatever you are happy with.
