Would you like to help us help your local community in Melton & surrounding villages?
DetailsMelton Aurora’s best Easter Bunny had lots of fun visiting a local school to hand out bunny ears and chocolate eggs in return for a short fundraising walk.
Sadly, rain prevented the fundraising walk so the children will complete this next term.
PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO CORONA VIRUS ALL MEETINGS ARE VIRTUAL UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Welcome to the Rotary Club of Melton Aurora, the “youngest” of the 3 Rotary Clubs in Melton Mowbray. We were formed in 2011,initially as a breakfast club. Our members are roughly half & half male and female and our ages range from 30-somethings to “rather not says” and the majority of our members are still in employment.
Our focus has always been on supporting local charities & causes in Melton and the surrounding villages and over the years we have developed strong links with local groups. In addition we have also supported causes further afield where there is a particularly strong contact with our club members.
We have changed our meeting times & frequencies to allow more people enjoy the friendship and fellowship of the club. Meetings take place on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month in the evening at the Hamilton Tennis club from 7.15pm.
On any month with a 5th Wednesday we have an informal social event. Details can be found on the Calendar.
We are keen to attract more people of all ages who like to give something back to our local community whilst having fun.
Still uncertain about committing yourself? As from Jan 2020 we are admitting Associate Members, which is an excellent way of joining in with our activities without full membership.
If you are interested about finding out more about our club or about Rotary in general, or would like to come along to one of our meetings, then please contact us using the link at the foot of the page.
We meet on Wednesdays at 07.15pm
