On Wednesday November 27th, Freya Jansens, a District 1090 Rotary Scholar from New South Wales, was a guest at our meeting. Wantage RC is acting as her host club.
Our towns are rapidly becoming safer places, due to the steady proliferation of defibrillators.
Here’s one that we donated and maintain, outside Wantage library.
A successful annual fundraiser for the Club involves the sale, and free delivery, of Christmas trees, in a variety of types and sizes.
Overall, this involves quite a lot of man hours, but the service is widely appreciated in the Wantage area.
AS A RESULT OF THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC, WE HAVE TAKEN THE RESPONSIBLE STEP OF SUSPENDING ALL OF OUR MEETINGS AND EVENTS FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE.
We are a friendly, medium-sized club of about 25
members, both male & female, living or working in Wantage & its surrounding area.
Wantage is a small, historic market town situated in the Vale of White Horse district of Oxfordshire.
We extend a warm welcome to all visitors to our web-site, & hope, by browsing our pages, that you will get a flavour of our activities, and the Rotary ethos.
We meet on Wednesdays at 1pm and 18:30pm(We have a lunch meeting on the 1st Wednesday of the month, at 1pm, and an evening meeting on the 3rd Wednesday, at 18:30. On 5th Wednesdays, normally, an evening social event is organised, with partners and guests invited.) The Comrades Club
