Since 1926, Teignmouth Rotary has been at the heart of our community – taking action, bringing people together, and creating real, lasting change. Whether it’s supporting local schools, community projects, or providing critical aid through organisations like ShelterBox when disaster strikes across the world – Rotary is there.
We don’t just respond to needs – we build hope. As a Rotary member, you’ll be part of a global network of 1.4 million people who share your passion for making a difference – locally and internationally. Whether you're championing a cause close to home or driving global impact, you won’t be doing it alone.
When you join Rotary, you gain more than a membership – you join a movement. A movement of connection, purpose, and service. Together, we get things done.

The pandemic. 20/21 was a challenging year because we had been restricted by lockdowns due to COVID. We had been unable to meet in person throughout the year and had been unable to stage many of our usual fund-raising activities. Nonetheless thanks to Zoom and some imaginative ideas we were able to do a lot more than seemed likely when the pandemic first struck.
The Club agreed that Rowcroft Hospice would be the charity which we should support. They needed to fund the purchase of new beds for their patients as the contract for their existing beds had expired.
We were able to raise £6481.20 to buy 4 new beds.
The Club contributed £500 to help with the response to COVID in India.
We were not able to hold our usual fund-raising activities including Christmas collections at local supermarkets and our annual Picnic in the Marquee.
But we managed to collect for Children in Need-raising £1061.
-take Santa and sleigh along roads of the Town, raising £2692, £500 of which went to Devon Young Carers.
-assisting with a collection for Marie Curie in the Town, raising approx.£316 in one day.
-collected 7 laptops from members for use by local children
-arranged a printing service for local people who do not have access to a printer.
We provided benches costing £244 to the local Roman Catholic Primary School
-contributed £250 towards a project to build a pond at another local Primary school
-supplied 6 toy money boxes for Kidsout at a cost of £150
And since then we have Collected for Pakistan floods, the Turkey and Syria earthquake, Supported Cancer Research in Shaldon, raised funds for The Macular Society , and many other smaller local charities.
