Our speaker on October 22nd will be Rose Bubb of Shropshire Petals who, in addition to running a thriving business producing natural confetti for weddings won the contract to produce the wheat put into every medal-winner's bouquet at the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Rose Bubb and Shropshire Petals' PR person, Katie Plant, will speak to us about their business and how their company came to put Shropshire on the Olympic map!
4,800 "Victory Bouquets" reflecting the energy and vibrancy of London 2012 will be presented to athletes along with medals during the Victory Ceremonies during the events this summer.
The flowers and herbs in the bouquet are British grown and are made with the help of floristry students across the country.
Shropshire Petals, based at Lynn South Farm, Newport, were delighted to be asked to provide the wheat for the beautiful "Victory Bouquet". They grow wheat, lavender, natural petal confetti and dried flowers, all handpicked on their farm set in the rolling fields of Shropshire.
