Lunchtime Meeting - 12.45pm - Speaker John Pryce-Jones

Mon, Nov 25th 2013 at 12:00 am - 2:00 am

Steve's speaker today is local history expert John Pryce-Jones

Steve Thomas' speaker today is local history expert (and Steve's old classmate) John Pryce-Jones.

An acknowledged expert on all things historical in Oswestry, John has published many books on the subject.

John's topic today will be "Continuity and change in Oswestry's history" - continuity in things like pattern of streets, market, parish church, border status - and change in terms of trades and occupations, movement of population, possibly technology.  All in 10-15 minutes!
