On the 20th Of June members paid a visit to Gwinllan Conwy

On Tuesday, 20th of June, members visited Gwinllan Conwy / Conwy Vineyard at Llangwstenin, near Llandudno Junction. It was a glorious summers' evening, ideal for a Welsh Cheese and Wine Evening.

We were taken on a tour of the vineyard by Colin Bennett who explained how their vines were grown and how they had started the venture. Following this we were invited into their home where his wife Charlotte laid out a selection of cheeses accompanied by samples of their wines.

Colin had acquired a wealth of knowledge and explained how they produced, bottled and marketed their wines, also some of the issues they had overcome to become established. Most if the wine they produced was sold on-line but they also held Cheese and Wine functions to help market their superb tasting wines.
