Eight intrepid Rotarians set off by minibus to the Bridge End Inn in Ruabon for a gin tasting experience hosted by knowledgeable landlord, Peter McGivern. After giving the background to the origin of gin we were treated to samples of various gins from around the British Isles, some straightforward others infused with "botanicals". This was followed by a larger measure of a gin of choice with either a plain or flavoured tonic water. Peter's wife Jill laid on a super buffet before we headed back home. An evening of excellent fellowship and information, much enjoyed by all.
