Only 24 hours before the predicted heatwave we set off in low cloud and rain. Past the Grey Mare and her Colts (burial chamber entrance), Kingston Russell stone circle then past Bellamont House and follw the ridge East and eventually down to Little Bredy for lunch. at least the weather was kinder here, the rain had stopped and even vagues shadows appeared. The afternoon took us through the valley of the stones and a stiff climb back to the car.
We walked 8.8 miles and climbed 369 metres. All good practice for Nepal. Well done once again to everybody!
Our next walk will be on 19th July and of course is open to all members. Please do come and have an enjoyable day out with us. We are hoping to walk in the Purbecks.
