                        It may be lockdown but a summary of Thorpe Bay Rotary Club activity via Zoom for 2020/2021 is impressive. To attempt to raise funds our virtual activities included:

                        A wonderful event shared jointly with Southend City Rotary club, supported by numerous marshals, helpers, other clubs and members from the Rotary District team.

                        Thorpe Bay Rotary, Leigh on Sea Rotary, and the Carli Lansley Foundation have joined forces to install Public Defibrillators along Southend on Sea Seafront from Chalkwell to Shoeburyness.

                        On the 12th September 2021 over 1000 people enjoyed the wonderful island of Foulness by being part of Thorpe Bay Rotary's annual Bike Ride.

                        Our Bear has been travelling the World since 2017 raising money for Polio eradication as she goes.

                        After being lockdown for 18 months our Polio Bear has started to travel again. Every time a new place is visited, we donate £25 to End Polio Now

                        Teresa Cutmore and Graham Green, both members of the Southend Art Club, were impressed by the exciting quality of work produced by such young people.

                        Our team was out in force collecting at Waitrose on 19th March. Thanks to Waitrose and all those that donated.
