Friday Night is our Music Night

Music Night in association with Dr Kershaw's Hospice

Compere Peter Shrigley with artistes, and organisers David and Shirley Heather.

On Friday 11th March, around 175 members and their guests flocked to St Anne's Church Royton for the ninth in the series of 'Friday Night is our Music Night'.

Once again, Jeffrey Lawton brought a group of five fine musicians from the Royal Northern College of Music to entertain us with excerpts from light opera and the musicals.

During the interval, wine and canopes were served by members of the Rotary and Inner Wheel Clubs, and towards the end of the evening, presentations were made to the artistes and to event organisers David and Shirley Heather.

The evening was compered by Peter Shrigley who expressed thanks to all who had contributed to the success of the occasion.

As people have dispersed after previous 'Friday Night is Our Music Night' events, comments such as "top that!" have been overheard. This year the verdict seemed to be "the best ever"...
