After 55 years of proud service in our community of Rochdale and district and the wider Rotary Organisation in the UK and Overseas, we have decided the time has come to bring our Service Club to a timely end. More ……
..........At an EGM earlier last month we recognised our advancing years, our diminishing physical abilities and our social horizons closing in.
Rather than slowly disappear as a Club, we hold our heads high with happy memories of both our fellow Rotarians and the causes we have supported over the years.
We aim to complete our remaining tasks thru end of June 2025 and to formalise our affairs over the coming months to terminate our membership with effect from June 30 2025 - the end of the current Rotary Year.
As Secretary I have offered to support any of our members who wish to transfer to another Rotary Club and I will also seek details of Direct Membership, a relatively new membership option offered by Rotary GBI.
