The Rotary Club of Nuneaton officially launched its centenary fundraising activities with a spectacular evening of music and community spirit at the Abbey Theatre.
The event featured acclaimed vocalist Matt Ford, whose captivating repertoire had the audience tapping their feet, singing along, and clapping in rhythm throughout the night. Adding to the magic, the OLA Church Choir gave a stirring guest performance that received an enthusiastic response from all in attendance.
During the evening, Club President David Lloyd spoke about the upcoming Unsung Hero Afternoon Tea, a special event the Rotary Club is raising funds for to celebrate individuals who quietly make a difference in the community. He also made a heartfelt appeal for nominations, encouraging the public to think about the everyday heroes who deserve recognition — whether they are dedicated volunteers, carers, or simply those who go above and beyond for others.
The Rotary Club expressed sincere gratitude to Matt Ford, the OLA Church Choir, the Abbey Theatre and its staff, as well as the hardworking club members who helped make the evening a resounding success.
As the Club embarks on its centenary year, this memorable event marks just the beginning of a series of community-focused celebrations and fundraising efforts.
