Know Your Blood Pressure

Sun, Apr 23rd 2017 at 11:00 am - 3:30 pm

Get your blood pressure checked at Squires Garden Centre, Sixth Cross Road, Twickenham. This is a joint event provided by The Rotary Clubs of Twickenham and Twickenham upon Thames.

High blood pressure is a contributing factor to 54% of all strokes. There’s no way of knowing if you have high blood pressure unless you have it checked. Having your blood pressure tested is quick, easy and painless.

Rotary International Great Britain and Ireland (Rotary GB&I) are committed supporters of the Know Your Blood Pressure campaign and won a Life After Stroke Award in 2014 in recognition of this contribution. Together, local Rotary Clubs and the Stroke Association have organised Know Your Blood Pressure events for over ten years. With the help of Rotary, the Know Your Blood Pressure campaign is helping to prevent stroke and save lives.

Know Your Blood Pressure events are free to anyone who would like to have their blood pressure checked, find out more about high blood pressure and its link to stroke, and take away further information about other risk factors for stroke.

You can also get your blood pressure checked at the doctors as well as some pharmacies and local supermarkets.
