Club Visit to RIBI Conference April 2008

A party of 39 comprising of Bishop's Stortford members and partners with two additional attendees from the Harlow Club attended the conference and had a superb time. Accomodation was at the The Chequers Plaza Hotel and the Social Programme included the following:

  • Thursday 10 April
    • A stop for lunch on the way to Blackpool at a pub just off junction 19 of the M6
    • Dinner at the Kwizeen Restaurant
  • Friday 11 April
    • Dinner at Ocean Chinese Restaurant
    • The Northern Variety Show at the Opera House
  • Saturday 12 April
    • President's Drinks Reception at The Chequers Plaza Hotel
    • Dinner at The Chequers Plaza Hotel
    • Hope & Glory Concert with Leyland Band at the Opera House or 70s Dance Night at the Empress Ballroom
  • Sunday 13 April
    • A stop for lunch on the way back at The Myerscough pub near junction 31 of the M6
Of course there were conference sessions that were attended but I am sure you can find information on those on the Rotary GB&I website.
