Ambassadorial Scholar Helene Racineaux

Thu, Apr 19th 2007 at 12:00 am - 2:00 am

The speaker this week was Helene Racineux. She is an Ambassadorial Scholar (the only one in District this year) and she is on a two year scholarship at RSAMD. This is the end of her first year. She told us all about herself. She is 24 years old, was born and brought up in Nantes in Brittany. She opted to come to Glasgow to continue her studies because of the high reputation of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. She wishes to become an opera singer. At the end of her talk, she sang two pieces one by Purcell and an aria from Bizet's Carmen. What a lovely voice she had to go with her sunny disposition
