BBQ 2010

Rotary Club of Brigg BBQ Sunday 11th July 2010 held at President Janice's home at Kettleby, Brigg.

The Rotary Club of Brigg BBQ was held at the Kettleby, home of President Janice Grimley, on the afternoon of Sunday 11th July, about 70 Rotarians, family, friends and guests attended and enjoyed a beautiful summer afternoon in lovely surroundings.

The various steaks and sausages were cooked to perfection by Harry, Mohammad and butcher Steve (a guest roped into cooking duties by his evil father in law). Even better was the variety of salads and delicious puddings provided by Rotarians and/or partners, I managed to restrict myself to one visit to the meat table but could not resist two puddings, a little known fact is that there are no calories in puddings on Sunday, just as well.

The variety of young children and grandchildren enjoying the day brought the average age down considerably. It was fortunate that we were not in the flower garden when the football, cricket and rounders got underway, but it was a delight to see the youngsters enjoying the sport in the paddock whilst leaving a clear run to the bar for the rest of us.

Later in the afternoon almost
