ROTAVENTURE REDNAL GO KARTING. Thurday 23rd September 2010. 6pm

Thu, Sep 23rd 2010 at 12:00 am - 2:00 am

13 intrepid club members and guests managed to complete the 5 laps warm up to establish "Grid Position" and the 15 laps race, as massive rain clouds threatened. It was nip and tuck most of the way for the first five positions with the lead and next few places, changing hands several times. Nick Drinnan eventually battled his way through and en route recorded the fastest lap time of just 57 seconds. Runner up in 2nd place was President David whilst another guest, Tom Heard wrenched 3rd place from club member Steve Drinnan on the final lap.

Special mention must be made for our only lady competitor Jayne Middleton who accredited herself well and senior Rotarians Bill Shaw and Peter Hill, who made sure the youngsters did n't have it all their own way.
