Round 7 of the Scottish Cross Country Mountain Bike trials took place recently in the grounds of Drumlanrig Castle. Haugh of Urr rider Ryan Fenwick was the fastest Dumfries & Galloway competitor in the Youth event winning the prestigious Rotary Club of Thornhill Trophy for local riders in the youth section. Ryan came in second with a time 4 seconds behind the overall winner.
Ian Morrison, Convenor of the Thornhill Rotary Community Committee said 'As a club we are most keen to support the achievements of young people in our area. Ryan is a most worthy winner and of us at the club wish him well as he progresses in his chosen sport.'
