The winners this year were WinterComfort who won on penalties in the final against YMCA. Musa Kamara (last years player of the tournament who went on to captain the England team) presented the cup and medals to the players of WinterComfort and YMCA and prizes to Brian Turner (Link-Up/Flack) for goalkeeper of the tournament and Kadeem Washington (YMCA) for player of tournament. These were chosen by Emma Hyde and Musa Kamara.

Jimmys came third and one of the Rotary teams came fourth.

It was a great day with 10 teams (including 2 Rotary and friends teams thanks to the scholars and friends). Weather helped and the venue  (Cambridge City Council at the Abbey Leisure complex) was really good.

A huge thank you to the scholars (Brian, Lauren and Rachel) who as well as playing brought their friends to play and all helped throughout from the beginning to clearing up at the end.

Wintercomfort (Ally Moodie) did much of the arranging and Link-up (Emma Hyde) helped.

Cambridge United (Stuart Wood and Nigel) obtained funding through the generous sponsorship of the David Ball Group, provided the warm-up, refereeing (4 of them),  shirts, goalkeepers' gloves,  football signed by team, and medals and will invite the winners etc to a CU match to receive the cup (again). I will let you know the date. They also lent the balls.
