Twinning Visit, Charleroi, Belgium

Amazing hospitality afforded to 11 Club members and their partners from Friday Evening through to farewell on Sunday Morning. Friday evening we were taken to a the normal venue for the club and entertained by drummers and a superb meal. Saturday we were escorted to a Photographic Museum, a distillery and an Abbey in Fontaine Leveque, which is just outside Charleroi.

We had an hour or so to recover before the main event of the visit, which was the 20th anniversary of the club. This was attended by Rotary Clubs of Lesquin France, Charleroi,Val de Sambre and Rotaract Club of Charleroi, and of course representatives of Belgium District 1620,as well as ourselves.

Hungerford President Graeme presented in perfect French a book of Hungerford, written by Past President Hugh Pihlens to Philippe Leseine President of Fontaine L'Eveque

Festivities finished about 1.30am!
