Charter Night 2011

The Rotary Club of Wensleydale held its annual Charter Night and Handover at Wensleydale Creamery on 24th June.

This was again an enjoyable event attended by Rotarians, spouses, and friends from across the District, including District Governor Roger Percival and District Governor Elect Willie Clark. The Creamery once again provided an excellent meal.

The evening was marred by Club President David Pointon being taken ill during the proceedings and being taken to hospital. However, President Elect John Ogbourne manfully continued and was inducted as President by DG Roger. John then passed on his President Elect jewel to Neal Peacock.

After the official proceedings, everyone was entertained by writer Donovan Leaman with a series of humorous monologues from his books.
