Mr. Tony Weedon, twice Mayor of Amersham was awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship by the Rotary Club of Amersham during the welcome reception for the visit of our twin club the Rotary Club of Bensheim-Heppenheim.
The Paul Harris Fellowship is named after Paul Harris, a Chicago lawyer who started Rotary International with three business associates in 1905.
Rotarians often designate a Paul Harris Fellow as a tribute to a person whose life demonstrates a shared purpose with the objectives of the Rotary Foundation.
Tony Weedon has been a leading light in the Amersham-Bensheim Association for over 30 years and held the position of Chairman for over 10 years.
