Pinner Village Show/ Previous years - 2011 Pinner Village Show
Another great Pinner Village Show.
The 22nd Pinner Village Show was held on Saturday 17th September.
The Show was opened by Nick Hurd MP, MP for Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner, who enjoyed his walk round the stalls and exhibits before departing to attend to other constituency business. The weather was exceedingly kind and neither the forecast heavy rain nor high winds visited the Pinner Memorial Park for more than a few minutes.
Many, many families with young children did visit the show and popped down to the Petting Farm organised by Daisy's in the Park. In fact many local people of all ages and visitors to the area came down to the park to see what was going on and to enjoy the good old-fashioned Village Show atmosphere.
There were some 40 stalls selling, bees wax candles, jewellery, bric-a-brac and much more.
The Beer and Pimm's tent did a roaring trade whilst the Merrydowners Morris men (sorry people) and the Harrow Concert Band entertained and a little more participation was needed to get the Tug of War competition and the MediVet's 1st Dog Show @ the Pinner Village Show off the ground.
All the Rotary Club of Pinner's profits from this year's Show are to be shared 50% to Harrow Young Carers and 50% going to a number of other local charities supported by the Rotary Club. These profits are likely to exceed £1,000.
The Club President, Nigel Shock, declared the Show a great success and particularly thanked the activity organisers, stallholders and all those who came along to the show. We made him work for his position by drawing and announcing the winners of 7 Lucky Programme Raffle winners (see below) plus 25 Meal for Two Draw winners (see separate page).
Thank you all for coming along and having fun.
See you again next year on Saturday 15th September 2012.
