International Service covers our efforts to expand Rotary's humanitarian reach around the world.
It includes everything from emergency relief to areas hit by natural disasters to more long term efforts to develop communities' ability to help themselves. The latter is achieved through projects which support the main Rotary focus areas of :
- Peace and conflict prevention/resolution
- Disease prevention and treatment
- Water and sanitation
- Maternal and child health
- Basic education and literacy
- Economic and community development
