A two year project to provide funds for the villagers of Maikot in Nepal to build a water supply pipeline into the village and build a new village toilet block was completed in February 2016 Funds were raised in collaboration with other local Rotary Club

This was a major project involving 6 Rotary Clubs in Lancashire and a Neplesse Rotary club in the town of Gorkha.  Money was raised through donations and a large fund raising event held at Blackburn Rovers Football Club.  Rotary International in America also provided matched funding

In Febuary 2016, 6 Rotarians and two family members went to Nepal to offically open the Water Pipe Line

With the supply established it was no longer nesessary for the local school children to carry water in jugs up a hill for 1 mile each day before they started their
