Having Fun With Rotary

One of the reasons people join Rotary is to make new friends, and this is achieved by having an annual club programme of sporting and other social events where partners and friends can join together for a bit of fun.

Sporting Events

Some of our sporting activities include:

  • an indoor bowls competition with the Rotary Club of Isle of Sheppey and Minster-on-Sea
  • regular road cycling for a team of club cyclists
  • golfing competitions
  • club walks
  • clay pigeon shooting


We have also visited:

  • theatre and cinema performances
  • restaurants for meals with an international flavour
  • Kent Cricket Club in Canterbury
  • the Houses of Parliament
  • the Royal Albert Hall 
  • the London Eye
  • a brewery
  • the Royal British Legion factory
  • a Jewish synagogue
  • a Seikh temple
  • conference weekends in Eastbourne, Brighton, Bournemoth, Torquay, Canterbury & Lille
  • Hoorn in the Netherlands for a Rotary international get together
  • Arras in France to maintain friendships with our French contact club
  • other Rotary club meetings both locally and abroad
