International and Foundation
Committee Information
International Service exemplifies our global reach in promoting peace and understanding. We support this service avenue by sponsoring or volunteering on international projects, seeking partners abroad, and more. This includes International Charities, Shelterboxes and Aquaboxes.
The Rotary Foundation is Rotary's own charity which celebrated its centennial in 2017. The mission of TRF is to enable Rotary members to advance world understanding, goodwill and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education and the alleviation of poverty.
The Charity has seven areas of focus: the Environment; Promoting peace; Fighting disease; Providing clean water; Saving mothers and children; Supporting education; Growing local economies; and all activity involving the Charity will relate to one or more of them
It is supported by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and friends of the Foundation and generous donations from the public. You can find out all about it here, in particular the End Polio Now campaign.
The International and Foundation Team's Chair is Robin Magee and includes Lesley Craig, Tom McKeller, Mike Kiriakakis and Bill McGregor.
