Thurrock Cycle Marathon

Everybody is invited to join in whether serious about your riding or a day out with family and friends. 7, 21 or 42 miles whatever you can manage while raising money for the charity of your choice.


On a gloriously sunny day, the Rotary Club of Mar Dyke Valley ran their major funding raising event on Sunday 2nd June 2019. The format was the same as other years, with riders taking part in either the 7, 21 or 42 mile sponsored ride (not race!!).

This year over 200 riders took part, raising around £10,000 for local and national charities.

Thanks to all those who helped the event to run so smoothly.


Next year's Cycle Marathon will take place on Sunday 7th June. Sponsor and Entry forms can be obtained from Daybreak Windows, Stanford-le-Hope, or from http://www.thurrockcyclemarathon.co.uk. There will be trophies for the individuals and the teams raising the most sponsorship, and medals awared to the first 500 riders completing the course.
