The principle on which the Rotary movement is based is to meet regularly, to enjoy camaraderie, to enlarge one’s circle of business and professional colleagues, and to seek out opportunities for humanitarian service at home and abroad.
Rotarians abide by the four way test, in our professional and business lives of the things we think, say or do:
Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
The Rotary Club Dublin organise many social events throughout the year, such as our President’s night dinner, barbecues, trips to Europe to socialise with fellow Rotarians, and conferences, to name but a few.
ROTARY RANGERS HILLWALKING
Every Tuesday throughout the year our rangers set out to walk, for 3 to 4 hours, in the Dublin or Wicklow mountains. We also walk the famous Wicklow way, a 150km walk from Dublin to Carlow approximately every third year, climaxing in a celebration dinner in a local hostelry. There is no extra subscription for this activity.
Being a member of Rotary is a very rewarding and enjoyable experience. Not only will you have lots of fun but you will also have the satisfaction of knowing that you have helped many people, less fortunate than yourself, to have a better life. In addition to our luncheon meetings in the Grand Canal Hotel we also, on the first Wednesday of each month, organise evening get togethers for those who would have difficulty in attending the lunches on a regular basis.
This would be perfect for your business, if your company wants to work closely with your local Rotary club, and to become involved with the community. Rotary is a great way to put your organisation’s corporate social responsibility ideas into action. We can offer you up to four memberships of our club for an agreed subscription.
