Esk Valley Rotary Welcomes Young International Scholars

(Max Mueller, Douglas Bowen, Brittany Ryan & Iain Cruickshank exchanging Banners)

Esk Valley Rotary are delighted to welcome 3 talented students, Brittany Ryan from Dallas Texas, Maximilian Felix Mueller from Bielefeld Germany and Iain Cruickshank from Colorado USA, who have all been granted a prestigious Rotary scholarship to help promote world peace and understanding.

As part of the Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship programme the 3 students have been taken under the wing of Esk Valley Rotary.

Rotary's Ambassadorial Scholarships scheme is the world's largest privately funded international scholarships' programme where undergraduate and graduate students are sponsored to take part in a range of scholarships overseas.  Since it was founded in 1947, nearly 38,000 young men and women from 100 nations have studied abroad.

Through the scheme, students get to experience another country's way of life and also have the change to share their own cultures with students in this country.  By ensuring there is more understanding across the world, we hope that it will promote friendly relations among people of different countries and geographical regions.
